A pie a week: salmon spinach pie

easy peasy, quickly made, child friendly, healthy and oh so yummie!
Ah well,
my four kids eat like wolves if I serve this pie.

you need:
premade french puff pastry
350 gr creamy spinach
200 gr slices of smoked salmon
150 gr emmenthal cheese
2 a 4 eggs
2 spoonfulls of mais (thickening) flour
pepper & salt

prebake the puff pastry (bladerdeeg) for 5 minutes in an oven of 160 °c.
put the slices of smoked salmon on it

make a mix of spinash, eggs, cheese and mais flour, pepper and salt
pour this mix on the salmon

finish with a handfull of cheese
and put in the oven of 180° for 25 minutes

no time to picture the final result,
The pie disappeared before I knew :-)

fill your fridge

Have you ever used the stackables?

I think
I am the queen of
improper use

I bought these (and those are NOT tupperware (much too expensive for me!)
I found them in the Wibra
in my neighbourhood
(2 Euro for a set!)
I bought a bunch of sets
filled them with my bead mixes
and stapled

hm, again,
a little bit more order in my workroom :-)

A pretty birthday present

A while ago I got a very nice present from a dear friend!
The pretty 'Abstract' necklace was a birthday present!

and always forgot to take pics...
but here it's is, and it fits perfect with my fabric earrings studs!

Can you guess who is this dear friend?
I am gonna meet her in Amsterdam in a few weeks,
and I am pretty excited about it!

For who really has no idea, find her Etsy shop here.

sunny days

beautiful weather ,
as this is so rare these days, we try to enjoy a lot!
eating outside
yummie salads and ice cream
little bike rides with the kids
and me playing with water and soap!

As I am running out of cat brooches,
it's time to make some more,
Because I want to take a bunch of them to the Amsterdam Fair 6th of june
they are lightweight, so they will keep me company on the train to A'dam.

my creative workspace

Today I am preparing for my booth on the flea-market in my home town.
Each year there is a very big flea market with more then 1000 visitors.
This year I decided to do a try out with a little booth on this market, as I have lots of vintage inspired and repurposed jewelry, maybe there is a public out there for my creations, we'll see...

So I have been working on these:

unbelievable how many flowers I can cut out of an ugly bag! Remember that ugly bag?

and Rings...

some new pairs in my Japanese Garden paper collection
(find some of them here in my shop.)

lots of cute vintage fabric earstuds in my Picnic collection

Do you come over?

My daughters choice give-away

I went shopping with my two teenage daughters in Ghent some weeks ago, and I gave them the task to search a cute thingy to use for a give-away on my blog.
So here is the choice of my daughters: a whimsical key or mobile chain.

Mention this give away on your blog to enter this give away and leave a comment here!
A tweet is a second entry!

Good luck!

A pie a week: Blue cheese and tomatoes

I admit, one of my new years resolutions was to bake a vegetable pie every week.
I used to make lots of pies years ago, but getting kids also changed my cooking!
I was determined to serve them once a week a pie with vegetables, (sometimes also meat or fish added) and that they learn to like the pies!

Well, this has been really a huge succes, so far !, but I did not always take pictures!
I'll try to pick up the thread of my 'pie a week' with this one.
Find the first one here.

4 big tomatoes sliced)
200 gr blue cheese
1 egg
50 ml crème fraîche
salt & pepper
dragon, Estragon (fresh or dried)
premade dough

prebake the dough in an oven of 200°c for 5 minutes
put the sliced tomatoes on the prebaked dough,
pour a mixture of the egg, creme fraiche, salt, pepper and dragon over the tomatoes
and divide the blue cheese over the tomatoes.

put in the oven (180°) for about 20 minutes!

yummmie!
